Wincanton & Sandown Racecourse

Three at Wincanton and one to Sandown today.

1.05 - Dino Boy has only had four races under rules, but was “fast tracked” to his chasing debut last time out and that paid off with a good win over 3m at Wetherby. Up 2lbs to 112 here, he goes over a furlong further, but may still be well handicapped and can go very well again. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.

1.35 - Galileo Silver went from an all weather flat win over 1m 3f at Kempton in July to his hurdles bow over just short of 2m at Ascot 6 weeks ago. Finished down the field in 4th some way behind, but didn’t get a good run that day. Those runs were for the Alan King yard and we step him up to 2m 5+f on his debut for us. Trip expected to suit, Sam rides.

2.40 - Rootless Tree made a promising hurdles debut when 4th of 13 at Hereford in mid-October, then fulfilled that promise with a win at Leicester a month ago over just short of 2m. Takes a big step up to 2m 5+f for his handicap debut, but breeding suggests this will suit. Looks on a reasonable mark and a good run expected. Sam aboard.

1.50 - Locker Room Talk was a non-runner at Hereford yesterday, re-routed for this 1m 7+f handicap chase. Yet to be out of the first three in all five races this term, he’s won both over hurdles and fences the latest a comfortable chase win at Taunton three weeks ago over 2m 2f. He’s up 7lbs for that to 134 but the margin and style of win suggests that he can cope with that and the drop back in trip. Another good run can be expected, Jack Savage rides and claims 7lbs
