Warwick Racecourse Chepstow Racecourse

Two at Warwick Racecourse and one off to Chepstow Racecourse today.

Warwick Racecourse

2.10 - Torpillo started his season with a distance win at Chepstow in a handicap over hurdles on the same soft ground as today. On 137 that day he was raised 11lbs then went on to be a creditable third at Cheltenham Racecourse’s October meeting. He makes his chasing debut here in what looks a highly competitive field of five, but gets 7lbs from his rivals in age allowance. Only a 4yo, he looks a good recruit to chasing and can go very well here. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.

2.40 - Robinshill won over fences at Worcester two outings ago in nice style at Worcester Racecourse, but finished down the field back over hurdles at Wetherby at the start of the month. He’s actually up 5lbs to 120 since then, but still shy of his peak of 143 of nearly two years ago. Could prove good each way value with a return to form over timber and a better run expected. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.

Chepstow Racecourse

3.20 - Alfsboy has had just the one bumper run to date, finishing down the field at Worcester four weeks ago. Makes his hurdles bow here stepped up to 2m 3+f and looks sure to improve for both trip and obstacles. Another that could show enough to be good each way value, Tom Bellamy in the saddle.
