Uttoxeter & Kempton

Five go racing...

2.25 - Scotchtown ran a good race to take second spot last time over 3m at a Sandown. Raised 5lbs to 126 for that effort, but continues over the same trip and has a good chance of going one better here. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.

3.35 - Arthur’s Gift tackles the 4m 2f of the midlands national, having won well at Carlisle over 3m last time. Was well handicapped that day but an 8lb rise to 138 may not have too much effect over this trip and he can continue the good work. Looks to have each way chances and should go well, Sam rides.

2.40 - Matchbook VIP Silver Plate Handicap Hurdle

  • Townshend ran a very good race to take second spot at Wincanton over 2m 5f last time and continuing on the same mark, can go close again. Is in good form, Joe Anderson rides and takes off 10lbs.
  • Wicked Willy ran up a hat trick of 3rd places but then didn’t go so well last time at Chepstow. Will be better suited by this track and can put that run behind him from the same mark. Looks a good each way proposition, Jordan Nailor rides and claims 7lbs.

3.15 - El Terremoto started the season with a win on his UK chasing bow. He then had a couple of falls but put that behind him with a good second at Kelso over 2m 1f last time. Remains on the same mark and back up to 2m 4+f can have a big say here. Daryl Jacob rides.
