Twiston-Davies Wincanton Kempton Chepstow
After inspections, all goes ahead so six runners for us across three meetings.
12.25 - Ginger Du Val - Joined us just a week ago from France where a he’s won 2 out of 4 bumpers, the first over 2m then the latest early December over 1m 4f. Has come to us in very good order and starts her hurdles career here. An interesting new member of the team, hopeful of a very good run, Daryl Jacob rides.
12.35 - Undersupervision - Unbeaten in two starts so far, an Irish point then in a Hereford novice hurdle over 3m 1+f on heavy ground. Goes a furlong shorter today on soft up a grade, but has a lot more to come. Another with a good run expected, Sam Twiston- Davies aboard.
1.45 - Rocco - Went very well to be 2nd of 10 over 2m 4+f at this track last time from a mark of 131. Steps back up to 3m here from a pound higher and faster good to soft ground which should suit. Goes from bottom weight and looks to have a good each way chance, Sam aboard.
2.55 - Riders Onthe Storm - Meets just three rivals here but it couldn’t be more competitive. Has had some problems which were likely still affecting him on his seasonal bow at Cheltenham in November when last of the three finishers in a field of four. Previously shown his quality when winning over 2m 5f at Ascot in a grade one event along with previous wins and looks to have come back to himself from his work at home. A big ask today, but can go close, Sam in the saddle.
3.30 - One True King - Has had a good season so far with a third, two seconds and two wins from five hurdles outings all at around 2m. Steps up in trip to 2m 5f today and we’re confident he’ll stay the trip. Progressing well, but plenty to come and another good run expected. Sam aboard.
3.10 - The Hollow Ginge - Runs in the delayed Welsh National over 3m 6+f coming in to it in good heart following a good run in to 4th at Newbury at the end of November. Stayed on very well that day, goes from the same mark of 144 and having had a six week break, can go very well again. Has run well and won on heavy ground before, each way claims, Jamie Bargary rides.
