Team Twiston 9th March 2020

Three at Stratford upon Avon Racecourse to start a very busy and special week!

2.45 - Darling Alko has had just two chases but started off with a good win at Ludlow over 2m on soft ground in mid-November. Runner-up last time over the same trip at Warwick Racecourse a month later, maybe didn’t really appreciate the heavy going. Should appreciate the better ground today and the extra furlong and can go close. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.

3.20 - Kapgarry won at Wetherby over 2m 3+f in November from a mark of 117, but raised 9lb after seemed a little harsh. His two runs on the new mark saw him down the field upped in trip then back at Wetherby over his winning trip saw a midfield finish with two pounds back. Gets a further two pounds today so just five above that winning mark could see him in with an each way chance. Sam in the saddle.

4.30 - Rootless Tree won a novice event at Leicester in early December and though pulled up on his handicap bow upped to 2m 5+f a month later at Wincanton, ran with more promise beaten just five lengths into fifth last time back at Leicester Racecourse over 2m. On a mark of 120 now, 3lbs lower than the handicap debut, sticks to a similar trip and can also show some improvement. A good run expected with each way chances. Sam rides.
