Taunton & Warwick Racecourse

Two go to Taunton Racecourse and five to Warwick Racecourse today.

Taunton Racecourse

12.37 - Fontana Ellissi - Has had just the one outing taking 3rd spot in a bumper at Stratford four weeks ago, an encouraging run. Makes his hurdles debut over 2m 1/2f here in what looks a good competitive field. Certainly learned from that first outing and expected to go well and be competitive himself. Jordan Nailor aboard taking off 5lbs.

1.10 - Just No Risk - Has had just two outings, 2nd of 4 in a bumper, then finishing midfield of 10 in a novice hurdle at Ffos Las three weeks ago, going well until the latter stages. This second division looks as competitive as the first above but improvement is expected with the experience of those two runs behind him. Jordan’s 5lbs claim can be helpful.

Warwick Racecourse

1.27 - Zambella - Made the perfect start to her chasing career winning at Bangor four weeks ago. Over 2m 1+f that day, she stayed on nicely despite a mistake two out. Up to 2m 4f for this mares novices chase, she has a 5lb penalty, but still progressing, she looks the one they all have to beat. Daryl Jacob rides.

1.57 - Don’t Shout - Returned to action with a creditable 3rd place in a 2m 5f handicap hurdle at Ludlow last month. Makes his chasing debut dropped back to 2m today wearing a hood and expected to make a good chaser. Should go very well, Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.

2.32 - Double Court - Has not been running to his previous form of late but now down to a mark of 105, the same as his last winning mark at Southwell back in August. Is a distance winner over 2m 5f on good ground and meets soft today. Has shown signs of a revival, but may still be best watched at present. Jack Savage rides and claims 7lbs.

3.02 - Kilpin - Has progressed nicely since going chasing this term, taking 4th spot at Lingfield in September, then the runners up spot four weeks ago at Stratford. Takes a big step up to 3m here having not gone beyond 2m 3f, but it’s expected to suit on the soft ground and a good run is expected. Can continue the good work, Sam aboard.

3.32 - Beep Beep - makes his racecourse debut in the bumper. Promise shown at home and expected to go well but this looks a particularly competitive event with most making their racecourse bow too, but it wouldn’t surprise to see him make the places. Sam rides.
