Taunton Southwell & Aintree

Nigel Twiston-Davies Three go to Taunton and one each to Southwell on the flat and Aintree today.

Taunton Racecourse

1.25 - Gamalou D’Alene Has had a bumper and two novice hurdle outings, showing promise with a couple of 5th places at Lingfield and Ludlow, then not going so well on soft going at Ludlow again five weeks ago. Needs to find a bit more, but not out of the question back on good ground. Tom Bellamy in the saddle.

2.30 - Yaazaain Yet to make the frame in four hurdles outings, this is his second handicap appearance, the first at Exeter seeing him a tailed off 6th of 8. Had gone well until the latter stages from a mark of 98, until coming home in his own time. Has had a couple of flat runs since and returns to hurdles 4lbs better off. Jordan Nailor rides and takes off a further 3lbs.

3.05 - Don Juan Du Gouet Has a couple of handicap wins on his cv from marks of 102 and 109 respectively, but not shown the same form of late and now goes from 99. Another that needs to find some more and this class 5 race represents an opportunity to do so. Archie Bellamy rides and claims 7lbs.

Southwell Racecourse

2.10 - Jenson Benson Went well on his racecourse debut over course and distance (1m) to be 5th of 11 last month and expected to show some improvement for the experience. Could go well at big odds, Liam Keniry rides.

Aintree Racecourse

3.25 - Ballyandy Has retained his form well this season with a couple of second and third placed efforts and latest went well though last of the the three runners. Mainly in either grade 1 or 2 events, which makes it all the better, he takes on another top grade 1 field here. Sure to run his usual good race, enjoys the 2m 4f on good to soft, still has enough to go very well and could surprise at long odds. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
