Southwell & Lingfield Racecourse

Nigel Twiston-Davies has two runners at Southwell Racecourse and two at Lingfield Racecourse today.

Southwell Racecourse

1.30 - Nye Bevan has had a bumper and two hurdles to date, the latest at Wetherby Racecourse a month ago. Has finished well beaten on both hurdles but showed some promise and looks to have benefitted from the experience. Sticks to 2 miles here in a maiden on soft ground and improvement can be expected, hopefully enough to threaten the places at least. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.

3.35 - Fantastikas makes his racecourse debut in the bumper, something we’ve been looking forward to. A well-bred sort, he’s been doing well at home and we’re hopeful of going close. Jordan Nailor takes off 7lbs in this conditional/amateur riders race.

Lingfield Racecourse

1.45 - Ballyart has had three chases and appears to have shown improvement since taking on the larger obstacles. Enjoyed the trips around 3m over hurdles and this has continued with a good second to one of today’s rivals over course and distance three weeks ago. We’re a couple of pounds better off today, hopeful of reversing the form and can go close. Jamie Bargary rides.

2.45 - Imperial Acolyte made his seasonal seabirds at Ludlow Racecourse over 2m 5f three weeks ago, going well before fading late on, but still stayed on to take 4th spot. Down 3lbs to 112 and a furlong shorter today, he will be better for that run and may also prefer this left hand track. A good run expected with each way chances, Jamie Bargary in the saddle.

Latest winner

Jelski (1/2), Bangor-on-Dee, 30th November.
