No less than nine runners today across three meetings, so a briefer than usual note on each.

12.40 - The Newest One has his third hurdles outing having progressed each time since his bumper. Continued progress here will see him in contention and we are expecting a good run. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.

1.50 - Zambella has had one outing since joining us from France where she had won her previous two races over 2m but she unseated two out at Wetherby in early November. Has had a good time off and returns in good order. Expected to show plenty more here. Sam rides.

2.25 - Good Boy Bobby has two seconds and a win to his credit since going chasing this term, running particularly well as runner up at Cheltenham last time stepped up to 2m 4+f. Sticks to a similar trip here, should be suited by the track and ground and has a good chance. Sam aboard.

3.00 - Echiquier grabbed third spot at Kempton a few weeks ago over 2m 5f and drops a couple of pounds in the handicap to 128. Up a couple in trip here, maybe needs to find a little but could be good each way value if finding that little more. Tom Bellamy in the saddle.

3.35 - Crievehill won his first two of the season from what may have proved to be handy marks. Up 10lbs to 155 looked harsh last time at Ascot and so it seemed to prove with a 9th of 10 finish. Gets just a pound back but is a course winner over 2m 4f and can still make his presence felt over this 3m. Sam rides.

1.38 - Kapgarry is a course and distance winner but has taken a big hike in the ratings from 117 to 126. Back a couple of pounds here gives him a chance, but though a good run expected, handicapper may have bigger say. Jamie Bargary rides.

3.23 - Florrie Boy comes back after a long break since August ‘18 when a decent 3rd in a chase at Worcester. Looks on a good mark on 121 with progress to come and has good each way prospects. Jamie in the saddle.

2.40 - Locker Room Talk looks Toruń up the hat trick having won nicely on his last two outings. Looks progressive at present and is a good opportunity to extend the sequence. Should be well suited by the track and trip, a good run expected. Jordan Nailor rides and takes off 5lbs.

3.15 - Arthur’s Gift looks ready to take on this longer trip of 4m with a mid division creditable effort in the Welsh National behind him. A mark of 133 here still looks reasonable with him in fair form and has good each way chances. Jordan’s 5lb claim could be valuable.
