Perth Racecourse 26th September 2019

Four more at Perth Racecourse today.

2.35 - Don’t Shout makes his hurdles debut following a couple of bumpers, the latter of which produced a good second at Bangor and plenty of encouragement. Looks sure to progress for the obstacles and this looks a good race to begin with. Looks to have good each way credentials and a good run expected, Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.

3.10 - Wholestone makes his seasonal appearance in a match with Ballyhome of Fergal O’Brien’s. Maybe we could’ve run it on the gallops at home, but whilst both are making their chasing bows, I guess the Perth fences are needed! On hurdles ratings, we are some way in front and we’ve been looking forward to going chasing, the 2m 4f will suit and we are hopeful of a successful debut. Daryl Jacob in the saddle.

3.45 - Grey Diamond makes his stable debut for us having joined from the Alan King yard, where he managed a nice looking win at Chepstow in April in a maiden event. Ran in a handicap in March from 117 and goes from 120 today, so on the evidence of that win should be up to going close again here. Sam aboard and should go very well.

4.20 - One Forty Seven won over this trip on good ground at Uttoxeter in March on 116 but didn’t go so well over today’s course and distance up to 122 the next time. Got a pound back and went better to take 3rd at Uttoxeter in May, but has probably benefitted from the time off since. Gets a further pound back here, should go well in a race that all of the five runners are closely matched. Hopeful, Sam rides.
