Two at Newbury today, both with Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
3.25 - Ballyart goes in his 3rd handicap hurdle and sticks to 3m. Now down to a mark of 113 from an opening 117, he has run better than his form figures suggest and if he can re-produce the run at Chepstow when second in a novice event, would have a very good chance here. Seems to be improving too and can be expected to go close.
4.30 - Robinshill didn’t seem to appreciate chasing earlier in the season so returned to hurdles last time at Chepstow over 2m when finishing 6th of 11 from a mark of 128. He went well for a long way before fading late on, but that run should have sharpened him a little and whilst more is still needed, a drop of two pounds in a similar event here, can see him with good each way chances at generous odds.
