Newbury, Bangor-on-Dee, Kelso

Seven runners across three meetings, so a busy day!

Newbury Racecourse

2.05 - Luckofthedraw had been progressing nicely with a good second two outings ago over 2m 5f at Haydock, but pulled up last time over a furlong shorter, a run best ignored. Head gear left off this time trying a new trip of 3m and more than capable of putting that last run behind him. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.

3.50 - Foxtail Hill meets just four rivals and showed signs of returning to his best when a good 4th at Warwick last time. Looks to be on a handy mark on 131, 14lbs lower than this time last year and can capitalise on that. A good run expected, Sam rides.

5.00 - Nye Bevan makes his debut having shown plenty at home. Has been entered for this for some time and we’ve been looking forward to getting him on the track. Expected to go well, Sam aboard.

Bangor on Dee Racecourse

2.50 - Ballycross returns to hurdles after a long spell chasing in staying events where he’d been going well until the last couple of outings when pulled up. Is 6lbs lower than his last hurdles mark when running in a good Aintree event nearly three years ago, so hopeful of a good return to the smaller obstacles. Jamie Bargary rides.

4.00 - Angels Antics showed improvement last time to take third spot over 2m 6f at Uttoxeter, her best run since going chasing. Down a further 2lbs to 115 will certainly help and she has a good opportunity here to make the most stepped up to 3m. Can show further improvement, Jamie aboard.

Kelso Racecourse

3.00 - Blue Flight has run up a hat trick of wins since going chasing rising from 121 to 132 in the process, the last two at this track. Steps up to 3m 2f but is progressive and still has more to come. Another good run expected, Callum Bewley in the saddle.

Nigel Twiston-Davies Today's Runners

4.45 - Kerisper returned to form with a good 4th at Lingfield over 2m 7f in early January and drops back to 2m 5f today on a pound lower at 112. The break will have helped to and returns fresh, so very hopeful of going close again here. Jordan Nailor rides and a good run expected.
