Jumpers Bumpers Lingfield & Warwick Racecourse
Four runners at Lingfield Racecourse on the all-weather for the jumpers bumpers and two at Warwick Racecourse today.
Lingfield Racecourse
1.40 - Fantomas - Went very well to be second over course and distance two weeks ago on just his second racecourse appearance. Looks sure to build on that here and can again go very well. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
2.10 - Just No Risk - Another that went well over course and distance two weeks ago, taking third place in a close finish. More to come and can go close again here, but we would hope for better. Sam aboard.
3.15 - "Jumpers' Bumper" National Hunt Flat Race
- Yaazaain - Went well for a long way in a flat race at Southwell over 1m 4f last week, fading in the latter stages. Slowly going in the right direction and this step up to 2m should bring out some more in him. Improvement expected, Thomas Garner rides.
- Don’t Shout - Has had a couple of outings this season finishing 3rd of 10 at Ludlow over hurdles in November then pulling up at Warwick on his chasing debut a month later over 2m. Hopefully this will sharpen him up a little after a short break and he can go well here. Each way prospects, Sam aboard.
Warwick Racecourse
1.50 - Cafe Pushkin - Has had two outings over hurdles so far, the first an encouraging run over a similar trip to today’s 2m 5f at Wincanton when 4th of 11. Faded late on last time over 2m 4f at Uttoxeter but has more to offer and improvement can be expected today. Jordan Nailor rides and claims 3lbs.
4.30 - Ballymillsy - Makes his handicap debut following a very good run in novice company to be second at Huntingdon just before Christmas. That was over 2m 3+f and the step up to 3m 2f today is expected to bring out some more in him. Goes from top weight and a mark of 121 but plenty of promise and a good run expected. Jordan aboard.
