Jumpers Bumper Kempton Park Racecourse
Five runners at the “Jumpers Bumper” meeting at Kempton Park Racecourse, which got the go-ahead after an 8.00am inspection.
1.15 - Season In The Sun - Third of five on his racecourse debut in a 2m bumper on heavy ground at Haydock at the beginning of December, had gone well until fading in the latter stages. Has come on for that outing and may appreciate the faster ground here. Each way chances, Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
2.15 - 'Jumpers' Bumper' National Hunt Flat Race
- Noble Savage - Has had a couple of bumpers in 2019 finishing down the field then made his hurdles bow back in October occupying a similar position, all over 2m. Up to 2m 2f should suit. Improvement expected, Mark Grant rides.
- Fontana Ellissi - Has had a bumper run and a hurdles run finishing third and showing plenty of promise on both occasions. This step up in trip should also suit and looks to have a good opportunity here. Can go well, Sam aboard.
2.50 - Nye Bevan - Went well to take the runners up slot in a similar event at Lingfield last week. Another heading in the right direction, the 2m 2f should also benefit him and another good show expected. Jamie Neild in the saddle, takes off 10lbs.
3.20 - Earlofthecotswolds - Showed some useful chase form over the last couple of outings including a good second at Ascot in a grade 2 event in November over 2m 5f. Took 4th last time over 3m at Ludlow. Also had useful form when running in bumpers three seasons ago. In good heart and expected to go well. Sam Twiston-Davies rides
