Ffos Las Ascot Catterick Racecourse

Five runners across three meetings today.

Ffos Las Racecourse

1.40 - Stolen Silver made his hurdles and stable debut at Cheltenham’s October meeting, going well until unseating at the last. Drops in class here and showed enough last time to suggest that he should have a very good chance over a similar trip though softer ground. A good run expected, Tom Bellamy rides.

2.15 - Leroy Brown has had two bumper runs, winning on his debut at Worcester Racecourse in September, then a creditable third at Stratford six weeks ago. Makes his hurdles bow today, stepping up to 2m 4f which is expected to suit and went well enough on good to soft last time to suggest he’ll handle the soft ground. Another expected to go well, Tom Bellamy aboard.

2.50 - Summit Like Herbie made his chasing debut at Huntingdon Racecourse early October, but unfortunately unseated his rider early in the race. Goes from top weight and a mark of 105 here but should enjoy the 2m 5f and ground shouldn’t worry him. It’s almost like a chasing debut again, but providing he gets a clear round, could be very good each way value. Tom Bellamy in the saddle.

Ascot Racecourse

2.40 - Flying Angel made his seasonal debut at Aintree Racecourse four weeks ago, finishing 4th of 5 from a mark of 149 over a furlong shorter than today’s 2m 5f. Was runner up in this race last year from a mark of 142, but comes in to this on 140. This gives him a good chance and in good form at home, can go close again. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.

Catterick Racecourse

3.00 - One Forty Seven won last time at Stratford from 119 over 2m 5f and is up 5lbs for that. Won’t be worried by today’s 3m 1f and will enjoy the good to soft going, so despite the rise, looks to have a good chance of following up. Jamie Bargary has the ride.
