Exeter & Sandown Racecourse

Three to Exeter Racecourse and one to Sandown Racecourse today.

Sandown Racecourse

12.45 - Goa Lil has joined us from France where he had three NH flat races at around 1m 4f, showing promise in the first two and then winning in his last run. He makes his hurdles bow here, steps up to 2m and has schooled well. All his runs have been on good to soft, so he’s expected to be suited by today’s soft ground. A good run expected, Daryl Jacob rides.

Exeter Racecourse

12.55 - Guy has had three outings and showed promise when second in a bumper at Perth in April. Has had two novice hurdles so far this term over 2m 5f at Cheltenham in October, then dropped back a couple of furlongs when 3rd at Market Rasen two weeks ago. Back down to 2m 1f today, this looks a similar race, but he’s improving and looks to have solid each way credentials. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.

1.30 - Earlofthecotswolds was third on his last run in early November in a good looking handicap at Ascot. The form looks pretty solid and dropping to novice company over the same trip of 2m 3f should give him a very good chance to get his head in front. The last time he encountered soft ground, almost a year ago, he won at Carlisle, so with all seemingly in his favour, we are very hopeful. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.

2.35 - Luckofthedraw finished last season pulled up in three consecutive races but opened this season in good style, winning at Market Rasen over 2m 5+f before returning over course and distance 4lbs higher on 133, but running down the field. He drops a couple of furlongs from the same mark today, goes on any ground and looks to have a good each way chance. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
