Chepstow Racecourse October 11th
Three off to Chepstow Racecourse...
2.10 - Echiquier couldn’t have had a nicer introduction to UK racing than winning in a canter at Hexham a week ago. That was over 2m 7f and he goes straight into this grade 2 over 2m 3+f in very good order, but of course, meets a different calibre of opposition. However, we think a lot of him, there is plenty to come and he looks sure to go very well again. Daryl Jacob rides.
2.45 - Sir Valentine has just joined us from the Alan King yard where he ran some useful races on the flat, including an all-weather win over 1m 4f at Kempton. Not been out since May ‘17, he makes his hurdles bow here over 2m, should be suited by the good to soft ground and is another who should go very well. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
4.30 - Torpillo did well for us last season, winning his first two hurdles to add to the one he won in France. A handicap mark of 145 seemed a bit harsh and proved to anchor him a little after. Down to 137 today, he goes from top weight, but should be more competitive here and can go close. Daryl rides.
