Cheltenham Racecourse & Bangor-on-Dee
Three at our local track Cheltenham Racecourse and one off to Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse today.
Cheltenham Racecourse
12.10 - Stolen Silver bounced back from unseating his rider at the October meeting here by winning at Ffos Las over 2m three weeks ago. Steps up in class here and by a furlong further, but will have learned a lot from that win and with overnight rain likely to result in similar soft ground, has a realistic each way chance. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
1.20 - Robinshill won over fences at Worcester in October from a mark of 122, but a rise of 10lbs sent him back over hurdles at Wetherby and a mark of 115. He didn’t go so well though, but went better last time in a class 4 event at Warwick, taking third place over 2m 3f up to 120. Goes from the same mark today dropped a couple of furlongs and will be suited by the ground. Needs to find a little more, but not out of the question and could also prove good each way value. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
2.30 - Cogry needs no introduction and it’s well known how much he enjoys this track. Won this last year on a mark of 139 and goes from the same today. Made a very pleasing seasonal debut at the October meeting here, taking third spot and comes in to this in good shape. Another bold show expected and very hopeful. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
