Cheltenham & Hereford Racecourse
We run four at Cheltenham Racecourse and one at Hereford Racecourse today.
1.50 - Caspian Caviar Gold Cup
Good Boy Bobby - Has gone well in his chasing career to date with two wins and three second places from his six outings. Includes a good second in a novice event over course and distance at this meeting last year and a win at Bangor on his seasonal return in October. Needs to find a bit more on his latest run when second at Haydock last month, but plenty to come and from a mark of 146 has a good each way chance. Daryl Jacob rides.
Al Dancer - Has also had a very good start to his chasing career with two wins, two seconds and a third seven runs and started his season with a win at Newton Abbot prior to a third place in last months Paddy Power Gold Cup. Stays on the same mark of 154 today and with plenty of course experience in his favour (4 from his 7 chases) and more to come over this trip, has a clear chance today. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
2.25 - Took The Lot - Has had a really encouraging start to his hurdles career with a debut second at Fontwell followed by two wins at Bangor, all over 2m 3f on good to soft / soft ground. Expected to be just as effective stepped up to 3m here and looks a good staying hurdle prospect. This is a very competitive event, but expected to go well with each way prospects. Sam rides.
3.00 - Ballyandy - Another with an encouraging start to the season with a couple of second places at Ffos Las and here at the October meeting. Another highly competitive event, he was runner up in this last year and the aim is clearly to go one better and make the best of his course experience. Capable of doing so at his best, looks good value and a good run is expected. Sam aboard.
3.42 - Super Six - Meets just three rivals for his racecourse debut. Well related to previous bumper winners, has shown up well at home and should go very well. Jack Savage rides, takes off 7lbs, which can prove valuable.
