Bangor On Dee 11th November 2020
Four runners at Bangor On Dee for Nigel Twiston-Davies & Team Twiston
1.20 - We run two in this 2m 1+f mares only novice chase, a class 1 event.
Zambella She had some decent hurdles form last season and returned to action at Market Rasen at the end of September, finishing mid-division over 2m from a mark of 137. She makes her chasing bow here and if transferring her hurdles form, should have a good each way chance. We expect her to do at least that by showing some improvement for the larger obstacles, so a good run expected, Daryl Jacob rides.
Vienna Court She is also making her chasing debut, with a couple of novice hurdle wins to her credit last season, bringing her to a rating of 131. This is also her seasonal bow having not been out since March when a creditable 8th of 22 in the Dawn Run at the Cheltenham Festival. Has schooled nicely and can also be given an each way chance, with improvement to come also. Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
3.33 - Ballymoy Another who hasn’t been out since the festival where he ran in the Coral Cup, finishing down the field from a mark of 148. Down to 145 today, which is 2lbs lower than his last winning mark. That last win is getting on for two years ago now, but he’s had several places in good races including being runner up in all three of his chases. Over hurdles here, comes back fresh and well and though still giving weight to all his rivals, can be expected to go very well. Daryl Jacob aboard.
4.05 - Took The Lot Won on his racecourse / bumper debut last year and went close to winning on his hurdles bow at Fontwell three weeks ago, running an encouraging race to take the runner up spot. Over a similar trip of 2m 3+f today and the same good to soft ground, he looks sure to have come on for that race and can bring more improvement to the table. Can go close, but we would hope for better, Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
