Aintree & Wetherby Racecourse
12.55 - Ballymoy - Made his seasonal reappearance four weeks ago at Bangor finishing 4th of 6 over 2m 3+f. Sure to come on for the run, drops a further pound to 145 and will appreciate the soft ground over this 2m 4f. Looks to have a good each way chance, Daryl Jacob rides.
1.30 - Calett Mad - Hasn’t run since January ‘19 when second over 3m 5f at Warwick. Rated 145 that day, he returns in very good order and 3lbs better off. A distance winner (3m 2f) will also appreciate the soft ground and another with each way hopes. Daryl rides.
3.15 - We run two in this, the Sefton Chase over 2m 5f.
- Flying Angel - Has gone well here in the past and is also a distance winner at Ascot from today’s mark of 140, his last win just over a year ago. Reappeared at Ascot over 3m at the end of October, but pulled up, never really getting into the race. Should go much better here for that outing on this mark. Jordan Nailor rides and claims 5lbs.
- Crievehill - Ran here towards the end of October over the mildmay fences and 2m 4f from a mark of 152, running well and in contention until fading approaching the last, to finish 8th of 12. Goes from 3lbs lower today, just 4lbs shy of his last winning mark. Expected to go very well and looks good each way value. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
1.37 - Templehills - Won on his first run back with us in mid-October, then ran well to take third spot a couple of weeks later, both at Stratford. Was on a particularly good handicap of 120 to start with and though up to 128 now, is still a long way short of his previous winning mark of 137. In very good form and with Jack Savage taking off 7lbs, a good run is expected.
