Two each to Bangor-on-Dee and Kempton Park today.
2.10 - Millicent Silver ran well to be 4th last time at Warwick a couple of weeks ago whilst not quite back to her old form. Down 5lbs now to 113, 4lb better than her last win, prior to which she won over this course, trip and ground. A good run expected, Jamie Bargary claims a further 3lbs.
4.55 - Baby Ted has had just the one bumper outing but ran with promise to be 3rd of 8 at Warwick four weeks ago, not able to quicken in the latter stages. That may come with experience and he should have come on somewhat for that. With the bumper horses still going well, can go close. Mr J Nailor aboard claiming 7lbs.
3.30 - Big Bad John makes his debut for us having joined from the Rebecca Curtis yard where he won a nice chase at Ascot (amongst others) back in February ‘17. A rise to 144 following that seemed to prove restrictive, but back down to 133 and a change of environment may see a return to form. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
4.35 - Imperial Nemesis has had two bumpers to date, running well though green in both to finish 7th of 11 at Ludlow (the winner that day now unbeaten in 4 including a good hurdle this week), then 3rd of 5 at Haydock on sloppy ground. Sure to show improvement, this is a good class bumper and he may have each way chances on much more suitable ground. Jack Savage rides and takes off a valuable 7lbs.
Another Frontier (14/1), Southwell, 8th February.
