Five runners over three meetings today.
1.55 - Constante Via is still inexperienced but has shown promise in four runs, two since joining us. Her hurdles debut five weeks ago at Huntingdon saw her go well for a long way before fading late on. Improvement needed, but that looks sure to come with experience and could represent very good each way value here. Jamie Bargary rides, claiming 3lbs.
5.20 - Kapgarry won an Irish point at the fourth attempt just six weeks ago, joining us shortly after and now makes his bumper debut. A very promising sort, has quickly shown that he’s ready to progress and a good run can be expected, Jamie rides.
2.45 Millicent Silver takes the long trip north to contest the Eider Chase. Pulled up last time at Bangor a couple of weeks ago, she has good form over these long distances (4+m) and the heavy ground. She goes from 14lb out of the handicap, but with conditions in her favour, a return to form not out of the question and we’re hopeful of a good run. Mr J Nailor rides, claiming 7lbs.
We run two in this race
3.35 Ballykan went well over course and distance to take the runners up spot last time and is down a pound to 133 today. Last won from a mark of 137 and has been going from higher marks up to 141 since, so is handicapped to be competitive here. On good form, looks to be good each way value, Daryl Jacob rides.
3.35 Tintern Theatre unseated at the last at Haydock six weeks ago, having gone well to three out. A course and distance winner the time before, he too is in good form and a repeat of that run on this company would see him go very close indeed. Sam Twiston-Davies rides and a good run expected.
