Two at Market Rasen this afternoon, then one on the flat at Ascot early evening.
2.05 - Double Court won six outings ago back at the tail end of August, but then went from 82 to 96 and although still going well enough to take some places, may have been feeling that mark. Back to 91 should certainly make him more competitive and this trip on good ground should really suit. Looks good each way value and from bottom weight with Jamie Bargary's 3lb claim, can go close.
3.45 - Southport won his maiden at this course over 2m in October, seven outings ago now, but seems to have been a little harshly handicapped since gaining a mark of 123 and stepping up in trip. Down to 116 here on good ground can see him get amongst them again and could be decent each way value. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
5.35 - Arthur McBride has had a good break since his 4th of 13 in a 1m 6+f handicap at Doncaster in October from a mark of 85. That followed a win at Goodwood from 6lbs lower over 2m on good ground. Back to 2m in fast ground today, he returns in good form and can go close. Each way prospects, partnered by Marc Monaghan.
