Nigel Twiston-Davies

The Law Barn

Based on an idea by Nigel, the new barn has 52 boxes and took about nine months to build. Officially opened at the yard open day by Sam and Willy Twiston-Davies on Sunday 7th June, (see photo below) the barn was built by the yard handyman Charlie Law, after whom it takes it's name. Charlie worked very hard on the project (despite still not getting paid!) and Nigel expressed his sincere thanks for his super efforts. The barn itself is a big, bright and airy facility with boxes in rows of thirteen paired back to back. The capacity of the yard is now over 100 boxes, but just as importantly enables horses to be moved around as required.

A large crowd of owners, friends and staff saw Nigel announce both the opening of the barn and the return of Carl Llewellyn to Grange Hill farm, before passing over to his sons for the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon.
