Sam Twiston-Davies

Aged just 16, Sam has made an immediate impact in the Hunter Chase arena by taking the Irish Champion Hunter Chase at Punchestown aboard Baby Run, this following a bold bid at the Cheltenham Festival when third aboard the same horse.

A proud dad was heard to answer the question of why had Baby Run been taken to Punchestown, with "We needed the money!"

Now appointed stable amateur, Sam is looking forward to making steady progress up the ranks over the coming seasons and has already started firing in the winners, including taking one race on the flat at Goodwood aboard Soundbyte for John Gallagher in the Bollinger series for Amateur riders.

17th April 2010, Sam has his first professional ride aboard Razor Royale to take 4th place in the Scottish National at Ayr. Sam had 18 wins as an Amateur rider, the last fittingly aboard Banjaxed Girl at Cheltenham on Thursday 15th April 2010.
